I stand in front of my vanity and stare at myself through the mirror. I reapply the pink lipstick and exhale a breath. It's been close to a week since my run-in with William, and to say that he left me a mess since that time would be an understatement. I've been a bundle of nerves since then; I have been on edge at every minute of the day since that time. I tried to touch myself after, but it just didn’t satiate what I've been feeling in my body.
