William’s Pov

I sneak into the mansion as I normally do, through the kitchen. I notice that the house is eerily quiet and scarcely guarded unlike before. I also notice that a lot of cars are missing from the driveway. I heighten my awareness in case it’s a trap. I walk towards the hallway to check on Ayana first but when I enter her room, it’s empty. I stare down at her bed in confusion. A noise startles me from behind and I point my gun at the intruder.
