3rd person Pov
A few years later, Ayana and William walk towards the hill by the side of their house. They go there to escape from their 2 children. They go there when they need peace. They go up to the hill and sit down, Ayana’s head resting slightly on William’s shoulder.
A few years back, they got married and left the country with the blessing of their parents. They wanted to raise their children away from the bloodshed which they succeeded in doing. Raising their children away from the ghosts of the past.
They stare into the sunrise, enjoying each other’s warmth.
“What would I be doing if I hadn’t met you?” William asks.
Ayana laughs “Probably wiping out an entire family” She says
William laughs heartily “Meeting you was the best thing to ever happen to me”
Ayana smiles “Me too Will, me too”
William turns around and stares at her “I love you, Ayana Brad-Lanchester”
“I love you, William Lanchester, A thousand times over”, she says with so much emotion.
They kiss slightly and smile at each other before staring at the sunrise again, enjoying the company of each other and feeling content with the peace they have found.
- "she didn't know i was watching . yet her soul already looked back"
